unexplained.im is a hub for strange sightings and odd events from REALLYBYTE, based in the Isle of Man. It is laid out like an old newspaper, The Unexplained Gazette, with Useless as its roving reporter. It is for curious people of all ages, families and classrooms.
Reported, then checked. Every case shows what was reported, and who reported it, before a boxed summary of what the evidence says. The evidence comes from sources such as The National Archives, NASA, the US Department of Defense, NOAA, the Met Office, the US Geological Survey, Encyclopaedia Britannica and peer-reviewed research. We are sceptical but respectful: we don’t laugh at witnesses, and we don’t claim more than the evidence supports.
Our own drawings. Every picture is drawn by us and labelled as an impression. None is a photograph of a real sighting.
